Over $295,000 raised for at-risk youth in our community since 2017!
On Sunday, June 4, 2023, the Rotary Club of Glendale held it’s 6th Annual Cars for Cops & Kids Car Show. The event was supported by dozens of local businesses and helped raise over $70,000 for at-risk youth and mental health programs in the city of Glendale.
The event drew 200+ cars to the green grass of Verdugo Park and attendees were treated to gourmet burgers, authentic tacos, and ice cold beer. Children enjoyed a rock wall, face painting and a giant video game screen. The YMCA Verdugo Hills Council held their annual Pinewood Derby where scouts raced their customized cars down a ramp.
Mayor Dan Brotman and Assemblywoman Paula Devine were there among other city dignitaries to meet and greet with their constituents. The Police and Fire chiefs were also present along with dozens of police officers and firefighters to mingle with the crowds and enjoy the beautiful day with the community.
In the end, the car show really is about the cars and once again it drew some extremely rare and exotic cars from all over Southern California.
Event chair Edwin Voskanian said it best:
“We are so thankful to our sponsors including Pacific BMW and Adventist Health Glendale, thankful to all the car registrants and lastly all the Rotarians of the Glendale Rotary Noon Club who contributed to this year‘s massive success!”
