The Glendale Rotary Club Noon Foundation sponsored 4 students from the GUSD to attend this years RYLA event that took place April 26-28 in the Alpine Camp and Conference Center in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Armen Aslaya, Sydney Rubio, Hannah Arrellano and Aaron Houghten along with around 200 other students from the Greater Los Angeles area, participated in activities and workshops designed to improve their skills as leaders in their communities.
On May 2nd, Armen, Hannah and Aaron visited the club to lead the meeting and share their experiences with our members. Several members volunteered to participate in an activity lead by the students.
As the students took turns to share their experiences and what they learned, they left our club inspired by their passion and optimism.
