On April 29, 2018, Sam Carvajal, a long time member of our club, along with his wife Grace were the first ever recipients of A Lifetime Legacy Award From The Adventist Health Glendale Foundation.

Sam served for 42 years as director of medical technology at the hospital and after retiring in 2003, has continued to serve the hospital through the Foundation.

His wife, Grace, volunteered at the hospital for 30 years and is currently a guild board member.

On October 12, a plaque featuring Sam and Grace was placed on the Wall of Honor at the entrance of the Adventist Health Glendale campus.
