August 23, 1929 – April 29, 2018 Harold “Hal” Hanable, passed away peacefully in his Glendale home at the age of 88. Born in Bellevue, PA, Hal served in the USAF during the Korean War. He graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University, where he met his wife of 59 years, Louise. In 1978, he purchased Harry L. Bailey Co., Inc., a plumbing and heating company.
Hal has been an active member of PHCC, Glendale Noon Rotary Club and Glendale Presbyterian Church. At the Rotary Meetings Hal was always the first to arrive, dutifully setting up the audio for every meeting for decades. Occasionally he would entertain the club and any visiting guests with his spot on Donald Duck impression that would result in a roar of laughter.
Hal was a man of strong faith who touched many lives with his caring heart and gentle manner. Hal is survived by his wife Louise, children, Gaelyn Pautsch (Dwain), Brad and Brian Hanable; and four grandchildren; Cody, Travis, Morgan and Madison.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 3:00 PM at Glendale Presbyterian Church in Glendale. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Hal’s name to the Glendale Rotary Foundation or Glendale Presbyterian Church Missions Ministry.
