WE HELPED RAISE CLOSE TO $50,000 FOR THE GLENDALE POLICE GLENDALE UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
On Sunday May 6, 2018, The Rotary Club of Glendale-Noon raised nearly $50,000 for Glendale Police and Glendale Unified School District Youth programs at its second annual Cars for Cops & Kids event. An estimated 470 people attended and viewed 168 classic, exotic, and hot rod cars parked on the grass in the cool shade of the sycamore trees of Verdugo Park.
Councilmember Vartan Gharpetian was there in his vintage BMW convertible along with Councilmember Paula Devine, both of whom took a moment to speak and praise the event for gathering the community together and successfully raising funds for the at-risk youth in the city of Glendale.
Thanks to Presenting Sponsor Pacific BMW, attendees were also able to test drive some of the latest BMW vehicles including the 530e hybrid, I3 and B7 along with getting an up-close look at the exotic i8.
The event co-chairs, Edwin Voskanian and Lt. Oscar Rodriguez are already looking forward raising even more for the Police and School programs with an even bigger event in 2019.
